Amusement Rides not included in free entrance

OurTownAmerica is gearing up for another great festival this year!

This years OurTownAmerica theme was designed to inform the community about OurTownAmerica's dual purpose: To provide a fun festival for the whole family while raising funds for programs and services of Community Nonprofit Organizations in the Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade County areas.

Ernie Kubasek, chairman of OurTownAmerica, Inc. Board of Directors, states, "We have had a successful festival for over 20 years now, with great attendance and sponsors. The missing link has been the lack of awareness about the true purpose of the festival, which is to support not-for-profits in the community. The rides are fun, but this year we want to re-emphasize the giving that goes back to many worthwhile causes. After the weekend festival, OurTownAmerica, Inc. donates proceeds to the organizations."

This years OurTownAmerica will feature events geared towards family fun and include live entertainment, a food court, amusements, arts and crafts, merchant booths, a classic car show, games, and the traditional Miss OurTownAmerica Beauty Pageant.

Local Community Service Organizations and other Non-Profit Organizations will host the various booths in the food court.

Many Community Minded Businesses will be supporting the event as Sponsors.

As always, festival admission is free, but there is a $5 parking fee per car.

We hope you and your family join us for this years fun-filled festivities!

Support Your Community and Help Spread The Word!

OurTownAmerica History

The first OurTownAmerica festival was held in 1979. Originally the OurTownAmerica event was sponsored by the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce.

In 1997, a group of non-profit organizations and private individuals banded together to reorganize the event and established OurTownAmerica, Inc., a not for profit 501(c) 3 organization whose board has put on the event ever since.

With the reorganization in 1997, a program of giving back to the community with the OurTownAmerica proceeds was established. Non-Profit organizations involved with the festival receive funding from the proceeds for their various worthwhile charities.

Though the weekend event is known for its amusements, classic car show, the "Miss OurTownAmerica" Beauty Pageant and booths, this very important purpose of giving back to the community has made the event very meaningful for the community.

As OurTownAmerica, Inc. Board Chairman Ernie Kubasek states, "OurTownAmerica has one mission in mind: to provide a quality family event for our tri-county community while providing financial assistance to needy non-profit organizations."
